About Me:
For over a decade, I've trained, taught, and coached hundreds of people. With every person I've come across, the one constant is that no one's body is perfect, and that fitness really is 90% mental.
Corporate Commercial Break I took a pause from full time personal training around 2018, and for about 5 years, I limited my work in the fitness field with a handful of clients, projects, and run groups while climbing the corporate ladder. It was a huge change--exciting at first to have health insurance and paid vacations, but not without a seemingly endless & growing amount of stress. Even Trainers Need Trainers Also growing was over 20 fibroids in my uterus, due to my body over-producing a specific type of estrogen. My largest fibroid was as big as a grapefruit, and I had four others that were orange, lime, & lemon-sized. These large fibroids pushed up into my organs and caused a lot of pressure, discomfort, and acid reflux. Movement that always came easily to me became uncomfortable and foreign. I hired a trainer myself because I was severly depressed to have my body betray me like this (that was my thought pattern and feeling, but I don't recommend blaming your body because it's not actually a nice feeling at all). Finally, I was able to get all the fibroids removed in November 2023, but it changed the way I exercised as well as how I informed my clients and students both before and after. New Perspectives One thing I am grateful for is that now in 2025, people in the Fitness Industry are finally looking beyond superficial setbacks of why people have a tough time getting motivated. It's never just a "busy schedule". For some, just the thought of post injury pain can keep you from a workout. Depression, grief, and disappointment alone can be dibillitating. What I've learned is that it's okay to be at that part of your journey, and it's totally normal--underneath the Lululemon gear, somedays we're all coordinating a form of mental gymnastics just to lace up our sneakers. I'm so lucky and grateful to have my story, and to be able to motivate and help others. I can't wait to help you with yours. ~Angie |

Angie started training me after a tendon injury that had left me unable to truly exercise for months. She was always encouraging and non-judgmental. She's super knowledgeable about the body and always made sure the workouts were safe for me. I lost weight, built muscle and generally just felt better. I'd recommend Angie to anyone!" ~Kate, 37
